Carthiel advised the sellers of Glaskedjan on the sale of all shares to Saint-Gobain
Advokatfirman CARTHIEL AB has advised the sellers of Glaskedjan i Sverige AB on the sale of all shares in the company to Saint-Gobain.
Glassdrive, Saint-Gobain's specialist fitting network for vehicle glass, has acquired Glaskedjan i Sverige AB, Sweden's leading network of independent glaziers. The deal is a significant step in Glassdrive's European expansion and strengthens Saint-Gobain Sekurit AGR's commitment to high-quality vehicle glass services across Europe.
Glaskedjan was founded in 2010 and has built a strong position in vehicle and flat glass through a nationwide network of locally owned glaziers. The network today comprises more than 90 units and is a valued partner for car owners, insurers, vehicle fleets, and private and corporate customers across Sweden.
The acquisition combines Glaskedjan's commitment, craftsmanship and entrepreneurial culture with Saint-Gobain's global resources, industrial expertise and digital innovation. The shared ambition is to create new opportunities for the network's members while continuing to deliver outstanding service to customers throughout Sweden.
A key principle of the deal is to preserve Glaskedjan's identity, values and local roots. Glaskedjan will continue to be a strong brand in the Swedish market. Through the new partnership, the network gains access to additional expertise, resources and development opportunities, while its entrepreneurial spirit and customer focus remain unchanged.
Saint-Gobain is a worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, present in 80 countries with more than 161,000 employees. The group designs, manufactures and distributes materials and services for the construction and industrial markets, providing comfort, performance and sustainability while addressing the decarbonisation of construction and industry, the preservation of resources and rapid urbanisation.
